An Age- and Condition-Dependent Variable Weight Model for Performance Evaluation of Bridge Systems

چکیده

To address the balance problem between indexes within performance evaluation of bridge systems, this paper develops an age- and condition-based variable weight model (ACVWM). First, limitations existing models used for multi-layer weighted sum method, i.e., constant (CWM) (CVWM), are presented through case studies, indicating that variation is insufficient to characterize deterioration law components. Then, definition age-based established following concept weight, which makes weights vary with service ages. Considering characteristics assessment, built up depict time-variant trends index age. The discussed by using in superstructure suspension bridges. As a result, replaceable permanent components behave differently life. Finally, ACVWM its effectiveness verified same studies applied CWM CVWM. Compared results from CVWM, result more line real maintenance strategy.
